Image result for Rheinmetall to upgrade 27 additional German Boxer command vehiclesRheinmetall has been contracted to upgrade the German Bundeswehr’s 27 additional Boxer command vehicles to the A2 standard. The latest contract was awarded by Germany’s Federal Office for Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) last month. It is the second lot of Bundeswehr’s initiative to modernise its total 65 Boxer multipurpose armoured transport vehicles fleet.

 

Under the first lot, Rheinmetall received contract to modernise 38 Boxer command vehicles for the Bundeswehr in 2017.

Modernisation work on the 27 Boxer command vehicles will be carried out at Rheinmetall Landsysteme plant in Kassel, Germany.
