The Australian government’s top cyber security agency says local businesses are facing extensive attacks and have been compromised by a Microsoft bug that allowed a suspected China-based state-sponsored hacking group to access tens of thousands of corporate emails from across the world. Australian Cyber Security Centre, which sits within the Australian Signals Directorate, has been working with local organisations in the fallout of the major security flaws being revealed last week by Microsoft.
