Government says it will beef up deployed ADF computer networks - APDR The government said on Wednesday (12 August) that it will strengthen the cyber defences of deployed ADF networks and combat platforms through its A$1.4 billion investment in Defence cyber capabilities over 20 years. Minister for Defence Linda Reynolds announced the details of Joint Project 9131 Defensive Cyberspace Operations as part of the 2020 Force Structure Plan to strengthen the ADF’s deployed cyber resilience.

 

“Cyber threats to Defence networks and missions systems have the potential to undermine the Australian Defence Force’s ability to operate,” Reynolds said. “This project ensures Defence can actively defend its deployed networks and combat platforms against the rapidly evolving cyber threats.
