Raytheon Technologies' (NYSE: RTX) Collins Aerospace business has been awarded a five-year, $103.6M contract to provide incidental materials and support services for the avionics suite of the U.S. Army's UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter fleet. The Army Contracting Command received one bid for the firm-fixed-price contract via the internet and estimated that work will be complete by Sept. 15, 2025, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Sikorsky, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), produces the multimission variant of Black Hawk with a digital avionics system that is designed to integrate with the Army's Future Combat System.
The UH-60M medium-lift helicopter, powered by the 701D turboshaft engine, features wide chord fan blades and an integrated vehicle health management system.
