Australian carbon fibre composites manufacturer Quickstep Holdings announced Friday (13 November) that it has agreed to purchase Boeing Defence Australia’s aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capability based in Tullamarine, Victoria. Under the terms of the Asset Purchase Agreement, Quickstep  will acquire operating assets plus inventories and certain customer contracts from Boeing Australia Component Repairs (BACR).

Boeing and Clearbox partner on next-gen satcoms - Australian Defence  Magazine Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) has signed an agreement with Sydney technology company Clearbox Systems to assist in the development of a solution for the Australian Defence Force’s next-generation Satellite Communication (SATCOM) System, also known as JP9102. JP9102 aims to deliver a system which will enable the joint command and control of deployed Joint Task Forces through resilient and responsive communications beyond the range and capacity of other communication systems.

Boeing secures $9.8 billion contract for Saudi F-15 work | News | Flight  Global Boeing has secured a contract worth up to $9.8 billion related to modernisation and support work for Saudi Arabia’s F-15 fleet. The Foreign Military Sales contract is expected to be completed by 2025, according to the US Department of Defense contracts web site. The work will be performed by Boeing in St Louis.

Boeing to deliver two additional KC-46 tanker to Japan Boeing has received an order to provide the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) with the third and fourth KC-46 tanker. The new order follows the exercise of option by the US Air Force (USAF) for additional tankers under a contract that was awarded through the US foreign military sale process. USAF KC-46 System programme manager colonel Jason Lindsey said: “Japan’s new tankers will play an invaluable role in the security alliance between our two countries.”

The Boeing Airpower Teaming System (ATS) prototype has moved under its own power for the first time, conducting low-speed taxi tests at RAAF Base Amberley recently. The prototype air vehicle is being developed for the RAAF’s Air Force Minor Program DEF 6014 Phase 1 Loyal Wingman requirement, and as a part of Boeing’s global ATS ambitions.

The US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has awarded a Performance Based Logistics (PBL) contract to Boeing to support several weapons systems platforms. The contract is worth $477m and will be carried out under a fixed-price, master services agreement. It covers the provision of supplies, complete supply chain management and logistics services.
