Hensoldt, Rheinmetall and Diehl bid for future Germany air defence systemRheinmetall Electronics, Diehl Defence and Hensoldt Sensors have teamed up to bid for the future German short-range and very short-range air defence system, known as the ‘LVS NNbS’.The partners have signed a joint agreement to form a special collaboration known as Arbeitsgemeinschaft (ARGE). The tender will be submitted under the ARGE NNbS framework.

Albury-based Milspec Manufacturing has today announced a contract with Rheinmetall Group for the manufacture of advanced alternators for a fleet of LYNX KF41 Infantry Fighting Vehicles ordered by an international customer.
Privately owned Milspec has secured the $5.58 million contract after significant investment in research and development at its Albury facilities and six years of collaboration, testing and development alongside Rheinmetall teams in Germany and Australia.

Germany’s Federal Office for Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) has awarded a consortium, or ARGE, consisting of MBDA Deutschland GmbH and Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH a contract to fabricate, integrate and support testing of a laser weapon demonstrator in the maritime environment. The order value is in the low double-digit million euro range.
